Notes:
The black bodysuit is worn under normal clothes until the suit is
summoned. At that point, the red grid glows to life and appears to burn
away the clothes worn over it, then the hard plates appear from Somewhere
Else and lock on. Plasma disk emitters glow briefly, the gold trim pieces
on the guantlets ratchet back and forth with a sound like the action of a
.45 pistol, the boot jets test-fire, and a last bright pulse travels
through to grid before it settles down to normal "in use" brightness.
Despite all this, the pilot's normal clothes are restored when the unit
is sent back to wherever it goes. Leaping over the camera while the armor
forms so the lens flare hides the ambiguous origin of the hard armor
plates is the preferred method of transformation, but an be foregone if
there isn't enough room, or a bright enough light.
