Jan is
     torn between wanting to kill him and wanting to forgive him; it seems
that
     when she wasn't around anymore she realized how attached she'd been to
     him. Benny, of course, was and is totally unaware of this, being next-to-
     totally clueless where relationships are concerned. Since he's not
much of
     a fighter, she's likely to get him into an about-to-be-painful
situation...
     and decide to kiss him instead, then leave quickly. Jan is 15, but looks
     a couple years older.

     shows up she may want to start something, if he doesn't get killed first.
