A Rant Regarding the State of CP2020 on the
Internet
Speaking of which, is it getting crowded
around here or is it just me? Boy, the Cyberpunk on-line community sure
is getting pretty big. There have to be at least twenty web sites devoted
to CP2020 floating around right now. Amy Luther's site's
link index got so
big she gave it its own page (and I'm thinking of the same). Some come
and some go. Some have new stuff, others... not so much. They seem
content to just re-print material already available at other sites.
Although the effort is admirable, after all if one site goes down (say,
mine) there is another site still providing the information, I think they
have to justify their existence by offering something new! C'mon guys
(and gals, sorry Amy Luther et.al.) lets get cranking out some new
material! Cyberpunk 2020 was designed to have an open frame work rules
system to allow constant evolution and tinkering. That's what made it so
popular, the ability to modify it. So let's get out there and modify!
