Operational History of T-Cell
From the Journals of Agent Todd
CBAX-209
Red Herring

The Bunker
The Compound
1. CBAX-209
I received intelligence via ALPHONSE regarding an intercepted memo, classified MAJIC, from a Director Menhaussen in the NSA to a Col. Tidwell, USMC, authorizing the assignment of 2nd. Lt. Shannon Brisk to locate and assassinate a former NSA agent, Rex Hagans, in Clear River, Washington. The memo also indicated that Brisk was being considered for possible recruitment into MJ-12 following the operation. In order to prevent both the assassination and her recruitment, and to obtain Hagans for debriefing and Brisk for possible recruitment into Delta Green, I had a false memo forged to indicate that following the completion of the operation, 2nd. Lt. Brisk would be eliminated as a security risk. I then had this forged memo surreptitiously come to the attention of a Dr. James Morsay at the CIA as a test of Morsay's viability as a possible Delta Green Agent or Friendly. Morsay, as planned, brought it to his supervisor's attention, a DG friendly aware of the operation. Morsay's supervisor contacted me through official channels and all was proceeding according to plan.
I assigned Special Agents Lake and Johnson, other possible Delta Green Recruits, to aprehend Brisk. Brisk was made aware of the forged memo, the existence of MJ-12 and, to a limited extent, Delta Green, and of her role in the operation. Upon learning that she was considered expendable by her superiors, Brisk became cooperative. 2nd. Lt. Brisk was recruited to aid Lake and Johnson in apprehending Hagans for questioning and debriefing. Upon arrival on the scene, an outbreak of an hitherto unknown pathogen preceded a CDC quarrantine of the area by Dr. Johnathan Donalds of the CDC, aided by the Washington State Patrol under the command of Sgt. James Hicks.
The pathogen reacted differently in different people. In some, usually single males ages 20-45, the results were burning leisions and eventual caridac arrest and accellerated cellular breakdown. In others, infection resulted in little more than flu-like symptoms that disappeared in a few days.
Lake, Brisk, and Johnson were joined by Dr. James Morsay, PhD, from the CIA, at my request. A group of immigrant laborers from Mexico, all gravely infected with the pathogen, broke quarrantine and disappeared mysteriously from around a bonfire in the forest, apparently as a part of some occult ritual. Some of the Laborers were found dead with large impaling wounds in their chests, approximately 4 inches wide. All appeared to have been kneeling at the time of death, indicating a ritualistic or execution style homicide. What appeared to be three bodies composed of brittle dry ash were also found at the scene. The ashen bodies appeared to be about 4 feet tall with large heads and spindly limbs, possibly orangutans. Bill Tierney, a local cook who recently arrived in town and, was apprehended attempting to flee the scene. Tierney was shot once in the leg by Brisk after opening fire at his pursuers with a submachinegun. Upon interrogation, Tierney revealed that the pathogen was released by him and that he was receiving it and other orders from weekly meetings with Hagans in a mountain cabin.
Dr. Donalds concluded an artificial nature to the pathogen that targeted individuals with a certain non-congential chromosonal marker. The marker was present in all of the immigrant laborers and some of the locals. It's distribution was unknown. He was subsequently attacked by his assistant, Dr. Morris, supposedly with the CDC and assigned to Dr. Donalds the day before. Dr. Donalds was injected with what was later determined to be a mutated version of the pathogen, one designed to work on individuals with or without the chromosonal marker. It was revealed in interrogation that Dr. Morris was actually assigned to keep Donalds from discovering the truth about the pathogen, that it was man-made and designed as a biological weapon by the U.S.Government for an as-yet unknown purpose.
Tierney somehow escaped his jail cell and fled into the forest on a commandeered off-road motorcycle. A search team was organized in the morning. He was tracked to Hagan's forest cabin, which was heavily defended by landmines, claymores, motion sensors, and tripwires. One State Patrol Officer died as a result. Upon more cautious approach, the cabin was found to have it's roof blown off from the inside, yet there was no evidence of explosive. Tierney was found dead at the scene with a chest wound similar to those found on the Mexicans at the bonfire. There was evidence of gunplay from inside the cabin up at the ceiling and out through the walls into the forest. Tracks indicated that someone fled on foot up the mountain.
The search party followed the tracks and to a lava cave near the top of the mountain. What transpired thereafter is sketchy, but of the original search party of 2nd Lt. Brisk, Morsay, Sgt. Hicks, Agent Johnson, and three State Patroll Officers who entered the cave, only Morsay, Brisk, and Hicks survived an attack by what were reported as being "giant Bugs", possibly a cougar or bear. Hagans was recovered and returned to Seattle Field Office of the FBI for interrogation.
Dr. Donalds found a vaccine to the both the normal and mutant pathogens, but his research was confiscated by officials of the NSA, as was the evidence and bodies at the scene of the cave and the bonfire.
It was at this time that I recommended to A-Cell that 2nd. Lt. Brisk and Dr. Morsay be made agents. Plans were undertaken for a second "Red Herring" mission to determine their efficacy as DG Agents. Dr. Donalds and Sarah Connors, a civilian on the scene who aided the investigation, were placed under consideration for introduction to Delta Green as Friendlies.
In order to both test 2nd. Lt. Brisk's resolve and remove barriers from her membership in DG, she was instructed to eliminate her superior officer, Col. Tidwell, USMC, a known MJ-12 collaborator who would surely have Brisk killed had he known of her change in loyalties.
2. Red Herring (or "The Sky is Falling")
2nd. Lt. Brisk, Dr. Donalds, Sarah Connors, and James Morsay were reunited under the guise of aiding the FBI in an investigation of possible homicide, each with a different cover story that would encourage their assistance. They were flown together, intentionally, to New Orleans where they were met by Agent Kiki of K-Cell. Kiki informed them that they were misled as to the nature of their involvement and apologized, but mentioned that all would be revealed upon completion of this investigation. They were asked to investigate the scene of an apparent occult-related suicide, the death of Charlene Baker, in her apartment. The local police had concluded that it was nothing more than a suicide, but due to the nature of the suicide, and it's connection to voodun ritual, it was determined to use this case as the "Red Herring" case for prospective agents and friendlies.
Upon investigation of the scene and surroundings, it was recommended by the consultants that Ms. Baker, poor and desperate, had borrowed a large sum of money and, in addition to her remaining savings, had hired a Mam'bo Mayana Lafayette, an expensive Voodun Mambo in New Orleans, to ensure her a winning lottery ticket in the upcoming $250 million Powerball drawing. When the ticket lost, Ms. Baker, in a fit of depression, immediately slit both her wrists with a razor blade in her tub. Her body sat for 9 days in the Louisana heat before it was discovered by local authorities.
One week later, they were all invited into the ranks of Delta Green. Only Ms. Connors was wary at first, but eventually decided to affiliate as a consultant on occult affairs.
Lt. Brisk was assigned the codename "Thorn" and Dr. Morsay was assigned "Tipps".
3. Spawn of the Black Goat (or "When You Care Enough to Send the Very Bestial")
2nd. Lt. Brisk (Thorn) and Morsay (Tipps), along with friendly Sarah Connors, were assigned to investigate sightings of a strange creature in rural Minnesota. Morsay and Connors conducted a night-time reconnaisance operation in the forest and encountered the creature, reportedly a large ropy tree-like entity with a squat trunk terminating in four or more thick sinewy tentacles. It did not attack, but Morsay and Connors fled the scene.
The next morning, Brisk organized a hunting party composed of local farmers and the county sherrif's office to comb the forest for the thing. It was once again encountered, resulting in the deaths of 3 farmers and the need to sedate an additional 4 surviving witnesses. Brisk was injured and rendered unconscious, but otherwise survived.
Friendly Dr. Donalds arrived that afternoon to render additional assistance. Morsay, Donalds, and Connors, suspecting a possible connection, interviewed a Susan "Whitestar" Nelsen and her companion Ashley "Oakmoon" Halverson, two local pagans whom the town had previously unsuccessfully attempted to bar from purchasing a local farm. The couple denied any knowledge and showed resistance to the agents' investigation.
The sherrif planned another attempt to kill the creature the next morning, still suspected as being a rogue elephant by the skeptical members of the community.
That night, however, while the agents were preparing, "Oakmoon" approached the agents with information. She feared that "Whitestar" was somehow connected to the investigation. She explained that "Whitestar" was, before they were together, involved in Zoophilia, a nicer term for Bestiality. She had written stories and displayed photos of her activities on a Web page and in fan-zines. Though she claimed to have given up her "interests" upon meeting "Oakmoon", "Oakmoon" knew she continued her practices in secret and even invited others to join her via the Internet. A few weeks earlier, one of these visitors, a dark man in a black suit named "Stephen", provided "Whitestar" with a book on ancient pagan rituals and bestial rites. "Oakmoon" had read some of the book, which detailed the rites to a nature goddess known as "The Goat with Three Heads". She mentioned that "Whitestar" had been practicing these rites in secret, excluding "Oakmoon", and that she was practicing another such rite that night, which was how "Oakmoon" had been able to escape unnoticed.
"Oakmoon" agreed to show the agents the way to the ritual site where "Whitestar" conducted her activities. While cutting across a cow pasture, the agents were forced to kill three Doberman guard dogs with their shotguns. "Oakmoon" fled in panic and could not be found. In the forest, the agents located the ritual site, where they happened upon "Whitestar" apparently copulating with the aforementioned creature. It was observed that "Whitestar" was somehow in control of the creature and chanting in both English and in an unknown language.
Connors foolishly attempted to charge the creature, which promptly lifted her up in it's tentacles and crushed her to death. "Whitestar", naked, dismounted the creature and grabbed a shotgun. After a brief exchange with Brisk, "Whitestar" was shot in the arm, severing it, and the abdomen, killing her. A small alien organism could then be seen inside of "Whitestar". Donalds and Morsay engaged the creature. Morsay was grabbed by the creature and near-fatally crushed. Brisk and Donalds split up, and kept firing upon the creature until it apparently died, collapsing into the bonfire. Morsay was revived and subsequently hospitalized, Connors could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene. Brisk has entered physical therapy to recover from her injuries.
The case was explained to authorities as a escaped snakes, exotic pets owned by "Whitestar", which would fall from the trees in the forest, attacking the hapless farmers, and resembling tentacled trees. Exotic snakes owned by "Whitestar" were offered as evidence. "Oakmoon" returned to family in St. Paul. A book, "Nameless Cults: an English Translation", by von Juntz, published in 1845, was recovered at the scene and remains in the custody of 2nd Lt. Brisk.
4. The Bunker
After receiving medical treatment, 2nd Lt. Brisk (Agent Thorn) began physical therapy to recover from her encounter in the forest. "Nameless Cults" was sent to Derek Harper, a friendly with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, for analysis.
The next week, Brisk, Morsay (Agent Tipps), and Harper were assigned by myself to gather covert intelligence on a lab mentioned by Rex Hagans after extensive interrogation. The lab was reportedly under a secret Biological Weapon stockpile in the New Mexico desert. To facilitate their investigation, the agents were given the identity and credentials of U.S. Army Security Specialists sent to evaluate the installation for a security upgrade. Morsay was able to analyze CIA satellite intel before the operation.
The installation is situated deep within White Sands missile test range in New Mexico, surrounded on all sides by dangerous missile test ranges and accessible by one small dirt road. Its perimeter lies 6 miles outside the facility and is guarded by a 14 foot high electric fence and regularly spaced video cameras. Vehicles patrol the outside of the perimeter. Inside the perimeter is a large mine field. The facility itself was a small armored concrete bunker topped by a machine-gun tower and surrounded by a small fence to keep personnel away from the mine field. The bunker is staffed by 20 temporary guards who are rotated out in staggered shifts. It is under the supervision of Major Howell of the Army's USAMRIID. Under Major Howell is a Dr. Thomas, a civilian researcher attached to USAMRIID, and Lt. Adams in charge of security. The lower levels of the bunker house a level 4 biological containment facility used to store 75 of the Army's deadilest and most secret biological weapons. Entry to the containment area can only be gained through a single elevator, which is guarded by a security checkpoint and can only be activated by Major Howell's key. Individual storage containers could only be opened by Major Howell's key and one other key, usually that of an authorized commanding officer. Knowledge of the existence of the facility was reason to investigate, but the team was more interested in what lay below it.
The Agents' credentials were accepted and entry into the installation went according to plan. Harper surveyed the external facilities and security, Morsay was able to examine the installation's electronic security, and Brisk surveyed the internal security measures. Morsay was able to smuggle in a video recording device disguised in a pair of glasses. Morsay was able to review the video surveillance of Hagan's assault in May. Morsay observed Hagans, dressed in a suit, enter casually, speaking with Major Howell. The video showed Howell and Hagans descend to the containment facility. Hagans motioned at Howell, who proceeded to stand still and stare blankly for several moments while Hagans took Howell's key and, using it in addition with a key he produced, removed what was apparently CBAX-209 from its containment. Upon leaving, Morsay was startled to witness several militia members of the Army of the Yellow Sign appear from behind doors, under desks and chairs, and from inside closets and closed rooms, taking the Army guard completely by suprise. Hagans walked out of the facility carrying the deadly organism.
Brisk was given a tour of the lower levels and an explanation of the security precautions. At the end of the containment corridor was a bulkhead door equipped with a key-lock, a key-card reader, a numeric keypad, and a yellow warning light. When she inquired what was behind the door, Major Howell became evasive and continued with the tour. When pressed, Major Howell responded that Lt. Brisk lacked proper security clearance, and that she'd have to consult with her commanding officers.
That night, in their hotel rooms, Mr. Harper was met by an unidentified stranger, described as an albino asian wearing a dark suit and hat. He provided Mr. Harper with two keys and a piece of vellum, on which was written a sequence of numbers. According to Mr. Harmper, the mystery man said, in an undistinguishable accent, "The key to your mission's success lies beyond the gate." He then proceeded to walk towards the wall, make a 90 degree turn towards the door. Mr. Harper then saw a flash of lightning (from a desert thunderstorm outside), and the mystery man was gone. This mysterious individual may represent a possible security break in Delta Green's organization for he apparently is in possession of a great many classified secrets. The man was also reported in Clear River, Washington, in June.
The next morning, the team returned to the base. Brisk informed Howell that she and her team had obtained proper authorization and proceeded to the secret door. Howell protested but offered no resistance. He opted to stay at the security checkpoint in the bunker, apparently to notify his superiors.
Inside the secret door, the team found a research laboratory, a series of file cabinets, a computer workstation (independent of the network above), and a cooler door. On the wall was a map of the United States displaying several marked locations, apparently known sites of UFO activity. The file cabinet contained secret documents pertaining to Biological Weapons research performed illegally at the facility for the past 30 years. Many documents mentioned a Dr. Robert Varney of the USAMRIID. There were also test results from illegal tests performed on U.S. Citizens. Morsay made records of many of the documents with his video-glasses.
The computer was inaccessible due to powerful encryption software that Morsay was unable to bypass.
The cooler contained many biological samples. One sample contained a large fleshy ashen-grey head with glossy black eyes and no lips. A label identified the head as Sample 12, 1956.
After making records of most of the contents of the laboratory, the team decided it was time to leave. On the way out, Howell stopped them just long enough to say, "I've notified my superiors of your actions. Expect a response soon." As he let the team pass, he muttered, cryptically, "..and say hello to Lepus for me.."
On route to the Santa Fe airport, the team was followed by a black car with government plates. In the airport, there was a brief altercation as what appeared to be a pair of business travellers attempted to steal Mr. Morsay's luggage, claiming it as their own. When they attempted to flee, they were tackled and the luggage retrieved, but the travellers got away.
The team, fearing further action, then left the airport and rented cars for a cross-country drive. Mr. Harper went to California and flew back to D.C. from LAX. Morsay and Brisk drove to Pheonix and flew back. Upon arrival at Dulles, Brisk delivered the Mini-DV videotape to me at our established neutral meeting place. I assigned Morsay the task of transcribing the information from the tape so that it could be sent to Dr. Donalds at the CDC for analysis.
That night, around 11pm, Lt. Brisk returned home to find 6 people, possibly NRO-DELTA agents, 4 men and 2 women. One man and one woman were recognized by Brisk as the pair that attempted to steal Morsay's luggage at the Santa Fe Airport. One man was sitting, the others were standing. The sitting man grinned. He was reported to say in a southern accent, "Why, 2nd Lt. Brisk, as I live and breathe.."
The southern man, later identified by myself as Adolph Lepus, a known Majestic operative, asked for the location of the videotape. When Lt. Brisk informed him that she didn't have it, he replied that she had better get it, and as punishment for her theft, she was to either give up the names of her co-conspirators or be killed. She was given 24 hours to retrieve the tape or she would be killed.
Brisk informed me of the incident immediately. I instructed her to remain calm and something would be worked out. I told her of Adolph Lepus and briefed her on what intelligence I had gathered (not much) through the years. We immediately made a copy of the tape. I told Brisk that she will return the original tape, and in exchange for the names of her fellow agents, she would be able to offer Hagans, whom Majestic wanted all along, as a gift. Hagans had previously been interrogated and his story about a secret lab verified. He was no longer of any use to us, and since he was going to be executed by us anyway, we may as well let Majestic do it. Brisk agreed.
That night, Brisk received a call from Lepus 45 minutes late, probably intentionally. She was instructed to meet him down the street at the corner. She did so and was met by Lepus and two men from the previous night. She informed Lepus of the counter-offer. He reportedly smiled and said, cryptically, "Well, Lt. Brisk, it looks as if you're a little green behind the gills." This may represent a compromise of or our Cell's anonymity. Cell A will be kept abreast of the situation. Lepus agreed to the offer, giving Brisk 6 hours to arrange it.
After the meeting, Brisk called me and we arranged the transfer. We decided the front steps of the FBI building in downtown D.C. would be ideal. When the time came to call Lepus and inform him of the arrangements, we told him to come in an unmarked van, wear BATF uniforms, and act natural. I positioned myself with a sniper rifle on a rooftop across the street. Brisk and Harper (wearing a disguise) were to make the hand-off. Dr. Donalds and Morsay were positioned in a parked car down and across the street. All four were given FBI credentials and a false identity for the operation. The operation was logged as a legitimate prisoner transfer.
Hagans was somewhat relaxed. He informed Brisk that he'd soon be free and that this transfer was pointless. As dawn broke to the East, Lepus and his team pulled up in the van. The transfer was going according to plan. Lepus informed Brisk that he was aware that she had probably made copies but that he didn't care. Apparently he was following the letter of his orders but not the spirit. He did mention that if he ever found out copies were made, he'd kill her, her team, and everyone that ever saw the contents.
While returning to the van, several, possibly 4, unidentified creatures swooped from the sky. They had the appearance of man-sized baby birds with huge leathery wings and large wasp-like bodies. They head was out of proportion to their bodies, as was their beak-like snouts and large glassy eyes. Their skin was the texture and appearance of a plucked chicken or bird, with occasional shotrt hairs or spines and a sickly yellow color. They appeared to have two arms and two legs, each ending in large talons or claws. One attacked one of Hagan's escorts, killing him instantly. Another attacked Brisk and Harper, who opened fire at the creature as they retreated into the building. A third attacked Morsay and Donalds in their parked car, crushing the hood and smashing through the windshield to get to Morsay. A fourth picked up Hagans and began to ascend, just as a large cloudy vortex began to appear about 30 meters above the street.
Brisk was able to incapacitate the creature attacking her and Harper. Harper, blind with fear, ran into the building calling for help. Morsay was barely able to dodge their creature's attack by jumping out of the car and diving under it. Dr. Donalds proceeded to open fire at the creature who had gotten it's head stuck in the driver's side of the car. Lepus retreated into the van while one of his agents, Hagan's other escort, began firing at Hagans and the ascending creature. I took a few shots at the creature that had attacked Brisk but missed. There were also reports of other shots fired, possibly from one of Lepus's agents acting as a sniper on another building.
Brisk reported that for a few moments, she was transfixed, ignoring the combat around her, on the aforementioned Albino, standing perfectly still and making eye contact with her from across the street. When she shook herself to her senses, he was gone, as was the vortex, Hagans, and the two creatures carrying him.
Lepus and his remaining agents fled the scene in their van. I left my perch and came down to lead the clean-up operation. Donalds recovered the remains of Lepus' agent and the two dead creatures. I instructed Morsay and Harper, both suffering from some kind of mild shock, to erase the surveillance tapes. Brisk and I informed the security guard who witnessed most of the attack that he saw nothing and was to report this incident to no one, else we'd kill him. The frightened guard happily agreed.
Hagan's whereabouts are unknown at this time. Lepus called Brisk shortly afterwards and said, "It looks like neither of us will kill Hagans. You still owe me. Remember, if you made any copies, you're dead."
In response to Hagan's possible escape, I am assigning T-cell to monitor the compound of the Army of the Yellow Sign. If they find any evidence of illegal activity, we will conduct a raid.
4. The Compound
Agent Tipps (Morsay) and Friendly Harper conducted research into the Army of the Yellow Sign and their compound. Tipps also appropriated some CIA tracer-locators for use in infiltrating the compound. These they gave to Agent Thorn (Brisk). Tipps' and Harper's intelligence suggested the town of Deer Butte, Montana, 300 miles north of Billings. They then assumed the identities of Real Estate Developers to travel to the town and assess this situation and hopefully pinpoint the location of the compound.
Agent Thorn (Brisk) went undercover to join and infiltrate the Army. As such, she took a major security risk and used her real name and underwent the Army's recruitment process under her real identity. The Army of the Yellow Sign (AYS) happily took Lt. Brisk in as a new recruit. The AYS arranged a flight for Brisk to Billings where she was met by several representatives of the AYS. They escorted her to a van. Once inside, she was hooded for the 4-hour journey to the compound.
Harper acquired the help of a local hunter to scout out the wilderness surrounding the town under the guise of assessing the local hunting for future development. Harper was able to get the hunter to guide him to the location of the compound out of curiosity.
That afternoon, Thorn (Brisk) was given a tour of the compound. There she reported seeing children at play in an inner courtyard, several vehicles, facilities to house up to 300 families, stockpiles of weapons and ammunition, and a large printing press. She was given a propagandist introduction and invitation to join the AYS. She played along. She was also taken to a cellar and shown what she described as a "large lobster-like creature with a pulpy bulbous head, membraneous wings, and several gnarled and carapaceous limbs." This "creature" was alleged to be a member of the so-called "Sky-Devils", the extradimensional race for which the AYS pledge their emnity. The "creature" was supposedly captured by members of the AYS and tortured for information. Thorn (Brisk) was not allowed to interact or examine the "creature".
That night, Thorn (Brisk) slept in a small guest room in the compound. She was visited by an apparition or vision. The apparition took the form of the Asian Albino previously reported by Thorn and Harper. It said nothing, but apparently recognized Thorn (Brisk) and promptly disappeared. Moments later, the AYS entered Thorn's room and removed her to a prison cellar.
The cellar was apparently home to several other captured individuals, all driven mad by the lightless pit. There was no sanitation and many of them were chained to the wall. Thorn was beaten to unconsciousness.
At some point during the same night, Harper and Tipps (Morsay) were encountered a nocturnal visitation by the previously reported "Greys" or someone pretending to be them. After their intial entry into their hotel room, Harper can remember nothing. Morsay slept through the entirety. Morsay woke the next morning with migrane headaches and Harper woke with a nosebleed.
Upon waking, Thorn (Brisk) was finally able to activate her panic transmitter, located in a pen attached to her underwear. Upon receiving the signal, Tipps (Morsay) and Harper notified me via Cell-phone. I had previously assembled an FBI Hostage Rescue team along with some detached Montana National Guardsmen and had them on standby in Billings in case of trouble. I mobilized the force and immediately proceeded to Deer Butte by helicopter. Noting that it would take 45 minutes to an hour for us to reach the scene, Tipps and Harper drove to the Compound, hoping to rendevouz there.
Hagans met Torn (Brisk) in the cellar and the two talked. When Thorn mentioned the book "The King in Yellow", Hagans was suprised and his manner towards Thorm immediately changed. Thorn was then taken by Hagans to another cellar, leading down to a cavern and tunnel system. She was shown a large carved-stone post and lintel doorway sealed by a 100 ton stone slab. Hagans pointed this out as proof of the Xinayain. Thorn remained skeptical and defiant. Hagans took Thorn up to the wall and, as Thorn reports, THROUGH the wall through some unknown means. Once inside, Thorn reports that the complete darkness was soon illuminated by several (10-13) luminescent figures appearing from deeper in the caves. Thorn reports that they were wearing what appeared to be tunics or togas, inlaid with strange gold or yellow fabric. They appeared pale and lacked hair of any kind. Their eyes were large and glassy, suggesting a possible subterranean existence. Thorn reported that some carried metal devices, rods, and orbs, none of which she could identify though she suspected the rods were weaponry.
We arrived at the compound a few minutes before the others and dropped smoke bombs and teargas grenades. The AYS were quick to respond with heavy machinegun fire, forcing us to back our helicopter off. Tipps and Harper rammed their car through the gate, crashing into the opposite wall in the courtyard, inside the compound.
Using the smoke as cover, they left the car and entered the compound building through a window. Inside, they observed all AYS personnel retreating to gather in a central auditorium. When confronted by armed members of the AYS in the hallway, Tipps (Morsay) doubled over in pain. Harper reported that a large cancerous mass began to expand on the back of Tipps' neck. When it reached the size of a small balloon, it burst, spreading purplish-brown gas into the hallway. The three AYS men who confronted them collapsed and began to swell and burst in a similar manner. Morsay died instantly. Harper appeared unaffected but attempted to flee regardless. He also unsuccessfully tried to save a small child he was able to catch.
We had landed the helicopter and proceeded to block off the only access road leading to the compound. The National Guardsmen set up a perimeter around the compound in case any AYS tried to escape. I and the Hostage Rescue team suited up in gas masks and entered the compound, the gunfire and activity on the roof having had cease.
We cautiously explored the compound, only to find all the members of the AYS dead, the children and women having died of ingesting poison, the men and some children and women having died of the gas emitted from Tipps' neck and it's susequent spread. Those who committed suicide appeared to have been in the process of some kind of religious ritual or sacrifice whose purpose is unclear at this time.
We returned to the checkpoint to inform Harper of the situation and that we had found Thorn's(Brisk) panic button, dropped in the cellar, but had not yet found her. We enlisted the help of the National Guardsmen and Harper to find Thorn. We eventually found the cellar leading to the Portal.
Inside the cavern, the so-called "Xinayan", on recommendation of Hagans, made a case to Brisk to join her cause. Thorn reports that the "Xinayan" communicated to her telepathically, though this may bave been a trick. Approximately at the same time of our first assault, Hagans left Thorn momentarily in the cavern alone with the "Xinayan" who stared blankly at her. He returned later and is reported to have said, "We are under attack, I have done as you have requested, the final solution is underway."
When Thorn vehemently rejected their offer, the "Xinayan" debated as to what to do with her. Apparently, her having read "The King In Yellow" had influenced their debate, but the final decision was they she was to die. Upon learning of this decision, Thorn used her Marine training to wrestle Hagans' gun away and hold him hostage. The "Xinayan" must put some importance into Hagans for they halted their advance. Thorn then made Hagans "pass them back through the wall", whereupon we were able to apprehend Hagans and get Thorn (Brisk) to safety.
Hagans was apprehended on multiple charges. Evidence was found that the AYS were using illegal military weapons stolen through Hagans' NSA contacts and that the AYS was planning on distributing CBAX-209 to a wider population through the use of mailed brochures including samples of a so-called "Nutritional Supplement". All of the AYS were found dead at the scene. The gas was found to actually be spores of an unknown nature, possibly related to CBAX-209. The entire compound was immediately placed under CDC quarrantine and was decontaminated.
On a related note, I am sad to report that Dr. Jonathan Donalds was shot in the lower back by an unknown assailant after playing Tennis at a Hyattsville Athletic Club. Dr. Donalds survived and was taken immediately to the local Emergency Room. Upon learning this, I placed him under FBI guard and security and immediately placed an APB on his assailant, described as an attractive woman in her mid-twenties, shoulder-length curly brown hair, using two .45 pistols, one in each hand. Agent Thorn (Brisk) reports seeing a similar woman in the entourage of suspected Majestic operative Adolph Lepus. If this is true, she is to be considered very dangerous upon sight.
