The Scooter-Slave Vespa X is the hobby of the young technical genius Taylor Thomas. Most of Taylor's designs take a bizarre approach to robotics and automation. While his older sister's creations are utilitarian and functional, Taylor's are whimsical and fantastic. Being a young boy who doesn't attend school, Taylor has few friends. He finds friends and kinship in the robotic automatons that he creates for himself. The Vespa X is capable of transforming into a clunky-looking robotic monkey named "Boxey" who lumbers about crashing into things, mostly, and generally getting itself, and Taylor, into trouble.
