Taylor Thomas Custom Special

The Taylor Thomas Custom Special is a custom-built bike by Taylor Thomas for ADPolice Inspector Rick Kulland. After Taylor's rescue from the Triad kidnappers, Rick discovered that Taylor was a technical genius, if slightly eccentric. He commissioned Taylor to build the best bike he could build for the 200,000 yen. Taylor scoured the junk yards, the black markets, and his military and scientific surplus contacts to scavenge parts to build his dream motorcycle, the Custom Special.

Although his older sister Alisa forbade him from using any secret Motorslave technology in the bike, he nontheless installed a black-market corporate Artificial Intelligence, named Dychstra, into the motorcycle.  The AI formerly worked as a corporate espionage agent in the Net and comes with many high-power Anti-Security software applications and is fully integrated into the Cybernet. He also installed a 342cc turbine engine that used a magnetic drive-chain that provided near frictionless performance. To top it all off, he installed a Nitrous Oxide-burning Turbocharger to provide extra accelleration for up to 9 seconds. All of these parts are illegal and most are stolen, but Taylor doesn't know the history of half the things he acquires and Rick just doesn't care.

The resulting motorcycle is highly intelligent motorcycles that performs well at slow speeds and is capable of  540kph (324 mph) top speed without it's afterburner and a top speed of  1417kph (850 mph!) with the afterburner, Mach 1.26!. The afterburner, obviously, is mainly theoretical and will likely never be used. The motorcycle just isn't designed to break the sound barrier and any rider at such speeds would be thrown off or buffeted to death by the wind and pressure. Not to mention that such an accelleration equates to 10,827 G's! That's well beyond the 12 G's needed to kill a man.
