Experimental Animal-Hybrid Boomer

"The Cat," it is still uncertain what she will be called as yet but the nickname seems to have stuck, is an exerimental 2nd Generation Boomer Android that uses Feline DNA mixed with Human DNA and Boomer parts to create an animalistic hybrid. The creature is neither wholly human, boomer, or animal. It is uncertain at this time for what purpose she was created. There is apparently no profitable market for such a creature, and the secretive nature of her development and attempted re-capture by Genom only enhances the mystery. She is not a truly effective or logical choice for a combat boomer, she is too animalistic for a profitable android line, and it is highly unlikely she could be tamed for domestic use. She seems solely to exist wild in nature, with no potential benefit for either Genom or Mankind.

Her successful capture by the authorities poses even greater Conundrums (hmm.. what's this campaign called, anyway?). She is responsible for the deaths of several humans in Washington Park as she fed on them as prey. Is she a human and therefore subject to human law? Is she a boomer and therefore the property of Genom? Or is she a wild animal and subject to the Portland Animal Control Department. Does she have rights? Who does she belong to? Many university scientists wish to study her, the Police wish to try her as a human, Genom is suing for her safe return, and even the Washington Park Zoo wants her. The outcome of the trial will not likely be known for some time as all sides prepare for a long legal battle. Meanwhile, the Cat is being held under sedation in the Wilsonville Maximum Security Detention Facility in Wilsonville, south of Portland.
