Agent Orange
Victor Larraigne joined the US Army to be like his hero, Capt. Freedom. He went off to Viet Nam to fight for freedom. What he found there changed his outlook forever. Viet Nam, and his subsequent capture, imprisonment, and prolonged torture at a North Vietnamese prison camp turned Victor into a hardened, bitter, disillusioned man.
Upon returning to the US, Victor's job prospects were limited. He became a homeless veteran living on the streets of Pacific City when he was abducted and experimented on by the Eclipse Cabal in their continued attempts to create their own supervillains. The process worked but was unreproducable. Agent Orange served the Eclipse Cabal for several years before escaping his mental programming and going rogue. Although free, residual mental programming and his own bitterness ensured Agent Orange remained anti-social and violent.
Agent Orange is only able to become solid for short periods of time, and he becomes solid when he sleeps or is rendered unconscious. He will never be able to really enjoy the life of a supervillain, so he uses his powers to get revenge on those he perceives as being responsible for his lot in life: the US Government, Capt. Freedom, the Eclipse Cabal, and society in general.
