SWEET DESTRUCTION!

The following tables give Protection Values and Damage Saves for various common structures and items, including entire cities and worlds should it ever come up.

When attacking an inanimate object, first reduce the damage save difficulty by the object's Protection. The object then must save vs. the resulting damage difficulty using the indicated Damage Save bonus. If the object wins the save, it is undamaged. If it fails its save by 1-5, it is damaged: its Protection and subsequent damage saves are reduced by 1. If it fails by 6-10, it is broken and cannot be used, but is not destroyed: its Protection and subsequent damage saves are reduced by 1. If it fails by more than 10, it is destroyed.

The Reflex Save DC and Collapsing Damage DC listed below is for characters trapped within a structure that is destroyed. The character must make a Reflex Save vs. the listed DC. Failure causes the character to take the full damage indicated. Success reduces the damage DC by half.

Cosmic Destruction

The following values are used as guidelines only. Damage Saves shouldn't actually be rolled. At this high level, the effect of dice is insignificant. If a character can bring this high a damage bonus to bear, the dice roll becomes meaningless, the target is destroyed.

Suffice it to say that for cities and planets, if the character's attack bonus exceeds the target's Protection, but the item isn't destroyed outright, a huge crater is made equal to the damage bonus in meters.
