DC to Kills Confusion Explained
Question: I still don't understand the kill damage system: If I do 1 kill damage I throw 14 dice but if I do 3 kill dmage then I throw 16 dice? And how do I resolve spaceship combat where for example a space ship has 6 in kill defense?
Answer:
1 Kill = 50 Hits.
1 DC = 3.5 Hits.
1 Kill = ~14DC (49 Hits)
Realistic Campaign Option (soldier vs. tank, tank vs. soldier):
1 Kill = 14 DC
2 Kill = 28 DC
3 Kill = 42 DC etc.
Superheroic Campaign Option (superhero vs. tank, tank vs. superhero*):
1 Kill = 14 DC
2 Kill = 15 DC
3 Kill = 16 DC etc.

Tanks vs Tanks or Spaceships vs. Spaceships would use Kill vs. Kill. There's no need to convert, no die rolling. Simply subtract Kills of damage. The only conversion that would be done is if the Tank or Spaceship attacked a fleshy human with it's 110mm Cannons. Then, simply check what style campaign you're playing, and apply damage appropriately.
A special case exists for mecha (giant humanoid robots) and some giant monsters. Some Realistic Campaigns might feature mecha or giant monsters with Strength values over 13. In these situations, the mecha's or monster's hand-to-hand damage is converted to Kills when attacking anything but Superheroic targets. However, if the mecha or monster is damaged, the damage is not converted unless the attacker is Superheroic.
For example, the Mecha Rapier Zero with a Strength of 19 punches a tank. Rapier Zero punches for 6K of damage. The tank fires back with a 4K shell. Rapier Zero takes all 4K of damage. Should Rapier Zero attack the superhero Max Power, Max Power takes 19DC. Should Max Power counterattack with a 24DC punch, Rapier Zero will take 11 Kills of damage!
